Skateboarding!!

 Skateboarding

Kia ora bloggers it's Aysha back at it with blogging!

Last week on Friday Te Waka Ako got turns with each class to go skateboarding. Manukau (my class) was last but we had a blast and it was really memorable. Mrs Mcgrath (the deputy principal) was in Te Waka Ako that day and sent the other classes around picking up rubbish.

At first my class had to get a helmet and a skateboard, since I'm the tallest out of all the kids in the school I got a big skateboard. Laurence and Ben were the names of our coaches. At first we just skateboarded around and got ready for learning along with having a lot of fun.

After a while we all lined up and they taught up tricks and how to balance. They taught us how to tic tac, ollie, pop shove, coffin. I tried them all out but didn't really work out. We all had fun and a really great time!

Thanks for listening. Blog you later.😁😁✌

Intermediate meet and greet

Hi bloggers! It's Aysha from soon to be Waikowhai Intermediate!!

Just this morning I went to the Waikowhai Intermediate hall and met my teacher for next year! Along with also viewing my class room for the first time. Some people in my class that are from this school were, Indie, N-J, Genevieve, Jihu, Grayson, and last of all Ruta .

First we went into the Waikowhai intermediate hall and sat there while names were being called by the teachers of the classes. I was in Mr Swans class room 15. We all lined up and walked to the class room with Mr.Swan and all our brand new classmates. There was a short introduction and then we all did a little game about exploring the school. We found out more about our teacher and the school.

After that it was the end and so we had to say goodbye to everyone and come back to school to carry on the amazing day.

School Production SUCCESS!!

 Production SUCCESS!!

Kia ora bloggers! It's Aysha back at it with blogging!

This year there was a school production happening and we did Aladdin! We did a remake of the original movie with nine scenes and dances that other classes did during and in between scenes.  I was Omar (the villain of the movie) There was a lot of work put into the play and due to covid we didn't get to use props and rehearse as often as we wanted to. Even though all that happened we still got up in stage and showed them whose boss. We did all the scenes perfectly and acted in role with prostration. I was one of the main characters so I had to stay back stage while all the other characters had to sit down on some in a little ancoee of the hall.

We performed the production at Waikowhai Intermediate on the 4th 5th and 6th of November. The first two nights started at 7.00pm the cast had to get there at 6.00pm because they had to get ready with there make up and costumes. On Friday (the last night) we had to do the show at 10.00am during school because the teachers decided to do it at that time.

The first scene was about me and Geewiz out in the desert looking for the cave of wonders wondering around with our camels, second scene was about the market place where I sent Geewiz to go there and get Aladdin but he ran in to a little bit of drama on the way! The third scene is where Geewiz brings back Aladdin and Persia (Aladdins cat) and they  open the cave of wonders! BUT the Genie talks to Aladdin and they end up taking off on the magic carpet! So me and Geewiz go to the Sultans palace to marry Jasmine so that Omar can take over the entire kingdom.  Patient

Scene five is when Aladdin goes to Jasmines bedroom with the Genie and Persia and they all go on a carpet ride around Hasbah! Until they drop Jasmine off back to her room I show up and make a plan to send Aladdin to the middle of the ocean because we slept in his boat for the night. The next scene (scene 6) is the scene when fish help Aladdin out of under the water and the Genie comes out of the lamp and they go to the Sultans palace.

At the Sultans palace I put the Sultan under a spell and I made him let me marry Jasmine, Aladdin came and tried to stop me but still he went to the dungeon and everything went as PLANED!! The second to last scene, scene 8. Aladdin was sent to the deep dark dungeon the guards drop him off into the jail cell and he sat there waiting. Then Jasmine Persia and Geewiz come out and help Aladdin out of the dungeon along with the lamp! Scene 9 THE LAST SCENE!! Everyone, the Genie Aladdin the Sultan and Sultana me and the other main characters came on stage. They all tricked me and soon enough I became a Genie! They lived happily every after and at the end all the cast did a dance and bowed. THE END.

School production

Production

Kia ora bloggers it's Aysha here from Waikowhai Primary School! This year we have school production, if you don't know what production is. Let me tell you a little something about it. It's where the teachers choose a movie and play it with all the characters and little parts on stage with character attitude, I'm playing the villain. I know all my lines, I have the expression I just have to learn what to do while on the stage when it's not my turn to talk. Another thing I need to work in is that I need to stay in role, and I do enjoy rehearsing

Along with being more evil but I'm practicing. Also we are doing the play in term 4 and I'm nervous but exited all I need to do is learn my lines and not have a burst out crying while on the stage. The main characters with speaking roles in the play get a script like me. We also get notices that tell us what days we have to practice after school. Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you enjoyed reading bye!

Mono print- Term 3 week 2

Mono print

Kia ora bloggers, Aysha here from Waikowhai Primary School. This week in Te Waka Ako for art we have done a Mono print. It's where you have to draw a picture then trace over it to make another picture, then choose a dye color and draw over it. It will show up on the picture and the dye after you slowly peel it off. I drew a string ray with blue dye for the background I think it was good but I could've thought of different patterns. The teachers gave us some examples of some that were already done. The example that I drew of a sting ray was made by Warren pohatu. There were other animals that some people drew, I saw some people draw a shark or a type of bird. I choose a sting ray because I think sting rays are really cool animals and that I like everything about them. We had to choose three colors for our drawing. I choose red, purple and pink with a blue around the animal so it sticks out more. Have you ever done a Mono print? I'm moving on to my second one right now! That's all for this blog post thanks for reading! Blog you later.

We did some dances some singing and some explaining about what we've been doing in class. Since I did the student of the week I spook near the end I was nervous at first but I soon enough remembered the line I only got told once and spook properly.  Thanks for reading                                                                                        bye!

Cross Country

Cross country
Talofa lava blogger's! It's Aysha from Waikowhai Primary School! Yesterday on the 2nd of July we had our Cross Country run! It was really tiring, and we had all these different activity's where we had to do handball, tennis and others. We had turns in every activity and we were in our year groups. Like for example, all the year six boys were in the same group and stuff. Our house groups are Tui-yellowRuru-bluePukeko-Green, and Kea-red
I'm in Tui!

I helped out with the handball station where we got all the groups to play handball since I'm a year six I got that role. I helped out all the years and gave people house points on the clipboard if they were doing really well with the activity. It was really fun! At the end of the day all the sixes had their turn in running. It was a long way around the school but overall it was really good for exercise! Also, if it was Cross Country day at your school which house would you be in?
Here's some photo's about the day!
