Mono print
Kia ora bloggers, Aysha here from Waikowhai Primary School. This week in Te Waka Ako for art we have done a Mono print. It's where you have to draw a picture then trace over it to make another picture, then choose a dye color and draw over it. It will show up on the picture and the dye after you slowly peel it off. I drew a string ray with blue dye for the background I think it was good but I could've thought of different patterns. The teachers gave us some examples of some that were already done. The example that I drew of a sting ray was made by Warren pohatu. There were other animals that some people drew, I saw some people draw a shark or a type of bird. I choose a sting ray because I think sting rays are really cool animals and that I like everything about them. We had to choose three colors for our drawing. I choose red, purple and pink with a blue around the animal so it sticks out more. Have you ever done a Mono print? I'm moving on to my second one right now! That's all for this blog post thanks for reading! Blog you later.
Kia ora Aysha,

Hi Aysha I am Ayana from Waitemata. I really like the way you decorated your sting ray it looks cool. It reminded me of when I was in rehearsals and some people got to do art. Maybe next time you could add a little more colour on the background in your picture. If you are interested at looking at my blog here is the link https://wpsayanar.blogspot.com/
