Mono print- Term 3 week 2

Mono print

Kia ora bloggers, Aysha here from Waikowhai Primary School. This week in Te Waka Ako for art we have done a Mono print. It's where you have to draw a picture then trace over it to make another picture, then choose a dye color and draw over it. It will show up on the picture and the dye after you slowly peel it off. I drew a string ray with blue dye for the background I think it was good but I could've thought of different patterns. The teachers gave us some examples of some that were already done. The example that I drew of a sting ray was made by Warren pohatu. There were other animals that some people drew, I saw some people draw a shark or a type of bird. I choose a sting ray because I think sting rays are really cool animals and that I like everything about them. We had to choose three colors for our drawing. I choose red, purple and pink with a blue around the animal so it sticks out more. Have you ever done a Mono print? I'm moving on to my second one right now! That's all for this blog post thanks for reading! Blog you later.

Assembly in Manukau

Kia ora bloggers! This week in my class Manukau it was our turn for assembly. I presented the student of the week and everyone else did there parts. Some people presented some activity's we did in class like the whole Te waka ako got a sheet each to color in and when we put it together it would make a picture, our picture made three parrots in there habitat. We did some dances some singing and some explaining about what we've been doing in class. Since I did the student of the week I spook near the end I was nervous at first but I soon enough remembered the line I only got told once and spook properly.  Thanks for reading                                                                                        bye!

Cross Country

Cross country
Talofa lava blogger's! It's Aysha from Waikowhai Primary School! Yesterday on the 2nd of July we had our Cross Country run! It was really tiring, and we had all these different activity's where we had to do handball, tennis and others. We had turns in every activity and we were in our year groups. Like for example, all the year six boys were in the same group and stuff. Our house groups are Tui-yellowRuru-bluePukeko-Green, and Kea-red
I'm in Tui!

I helped out with the handball station where we got all the groups to play handball since I'm a year six I got that role. I helped out all the years and gave people house points on the clipboard if they were doing really well with the activity. It was really fun! At the end of the day all the sixes had their turn in running. It was a long way around the school but overall it was really good for exercise! Also, if it was Cross Country day at your school which house would you be in?
Here's some photo's about the day!
